Schiele Art Tour: Masterpieces & Bohemian Wine Degustation

3 Hours | Expressionist History, Private Studios & Premium Czech Vintages

As someone who studied Art and Art History in Bratislava, I've always seen Český Krumlov as more than just a "pretty town"—it's a living canvas of shadows and raw emotion. I designed this Schiele Art Tour to help you step into the "Art Flow."

Together, we'll blend the radical history of 20th-century expressionism with the sophisticated flavors of Czech viticulture. We'll see the town through the eyes of its most famous, tortured rebel, Egon Schiele, while tasting the hidden gems of our Bohemian and Moravian wine regions.

Our Artistic Soul: The Ghost of Egon Schiele

Schiele's relationship with Krumlov—his mother's birthplace—was a beautiful, chaotic affair. We won't just look at his work; we'll walk through his legacy.

  • Egon Schiele Art Centrum: We'll explore the expansive galleries dedicated to this world-renowned expressionist. I'll share the "scandalous" stories of his time here—how the local townspeople eventually drove him out for his "immoral" lifestyle and his habit of drawing young models in the town's gardens.

  • The "Dead Town" Perspective: Schiele famously called Krumlov the "Dead Town" (Totestadt). We'll discuss how the town's jagged, melancholic geography birthed his signature distorted style and his obsession with the cycle of life and decay.

  • Exclusive Private Studios: We'll transition from the past to the present by stepping inside the working spaces of contemporary local artists. You'll witness the creative process firsthand and see how Schiele's rebellious spirit still influences modern Czech art.

  • A Curated Gallery Walk: We'll navigate narrow, winding lanes to find hidden art spaces and secret installations that most travelers walk right past.

Why Experience the "Flow" With Me?

  • An Expert Narrative: With my academic background, I don't just show you pictures; I help you decode the nervous lines and psychological depth of Schiele's work.

  • Total Privacy: We'll experience the galleries and tastings at your own pace, away from the crowds.

  • Truly All-Inclusive: From gallery entries to wine flights and gourmet snacks, everything is covered.
